Turn off avgrsx exe
I can end all other AVG processes, but that one refuses to stop or not load on restart regardless of the fact that the UI lists the resident shield as disabled. I looked around and this was apparently a big issue with the release of AVG 8 last year, but there were no solutions in any of the posts on various sites that I could find.
I am hoping that 8 months later someone knows of a way to to shut this mothertrucker off??? Please help me before I lose control and take a 2x4 to the whole thing Thanks for the advice. I've been running AVG Free for a couple years and have been pleased with the level of protection and functionality.
Now this problem pops up with avgrsx resource utilization. Average user or not, there is a problem here that is not normal. I have two systems at home that both run AVG 8. One is experiencing the issue and one is not, and the one that is only recently started. Unfortunately I can not pin-point the exact date and relate it to any specific event in my logs.
